Here's my triple JSBC equiped 5 string Bee. You're hearing the middle & neck pickups in this tune. The EQ was pretty flat & the passive tone was wide open.

Awesome bass! It take you a while to tune though ahaha

thanks man. I tune the B and E with a lil korg tuner, and tune the rest of the strings with harmonic tuning in 4ths. like 2 mins worth of tuning.

Just saw this for the first time and skipped to the last page to say how awesome the Bee is! I think that the Stinger design (I'm assuming that's what it is...) really lends itself to 6 or more strings. Congrats.

Thank you, and +1 on the more strings the better on the "Stinger" body style. I dig the way the treble side horn meets the neck on my 9, Like perfect fit.
