WOW!! Awesome!!! So its not totally out of the question...
Only thing is that my new 9 stringer has a similar range already.
The bass is super massive, but it plays like a dream,.... providing I use a 3.5" padded leather strap to hold her for me.

Biggest advantage of the Chapman, with the way the strings are arranged, is it allows for a more piano like playing. Plus, by splitting the string sets, and running them to different MIDI synths, you can do some really trippy things with it. I've heard a single Chapman player sound like an entire jazz band with just him and a drum machine.
Your 9 string playing would let you adapt very quickly to the style, but it really is like a totally different instrument than just a ERB.

I've only gotten around to checking out your videos now. Man, your Bee Bass sounds fantastic... To give you proper credit as well, I've always felt a bass's sound is 80% individual's technique and 20% the instrument itself. Great stuff!

Sure. It's a solid black limba body, and the neck is an 11-piece combination of paduak, zircote, and maple. The headstock is zircote. I have it tuned exactly as you do, in fourths starting at low B.

I just watched one of your video clips.... AMAZING work dude; that's the first time I've ever seen a bass like that in action.

it's a 9 string bee bass that took 2yrs and 6k$ to be completed..

Good god, that looks very very nice but hard as can be too play with all those strings and that extra wide neck. Lol. Hopes it works out to be great bass for you.
