My New Alembic Essence

Beautiful bass!! My Alembic is not new, it is a 92. They make a wonderful product, but as you know, you PAY for it!! :)

I love the top on your Elan! Not all quilt, but a neat blend with the graining farther toward the tail. And is the accent laminate (the part showing in the elbow cut) quilted too? One of the things that sets Alembic apart is how consistently they: (1) Choose the best looking wood and (2) How they know how to create a really aesthetic piece of sculpture out of it. When I was planning my custom Alembic I was amazed at the tremendous volume of wood they keep in inventory, giving you a fantastic array of choices and how well they seemed to know each individual piece.

I know many custom builders who do each of these things well, but I don't know of any who does them all so consistently. Makes me want a new Alembic, it does...
