Put new la bella flats on it, shall be interesting to see how that turns out, it had rounds when I got it, lots of meeeooow with the rounds, but not really what I prefer.

I think he means why didn't you cut them first and put the end down into the hole in the middle of tuner and then wrap them?

Either way works as long as it holds. Were you a guitar player prior to becoming a bass player?

I first tried it with Rotosound Tru Bass nylons, but that was WAY to thumpy for my taste, but it looked REALLY cool... hehe, I'd wish labella or some other flatwounds where available in black ...
