my new bass 5 strings singlecut from JCR BASS CUSTOM

Hey guys. This is the start of my custom bass from JCR CUSTOM ( http://www.jcrluthier.com ) ; a luthier from Spain, he's a really lovely man with a lot of patience to his job and each bass he's making is a pleasure and a story behind it,check he's web site to see more of his bass.


So basically it's a singlecut bass, with the following specification:


- Poplar Burl Top
- Alder wings and center back of flamed maple with purple detail
- Neck laminated Maple - purple
- Black Ebano Fingerboard w/ Mother Of Pearl Inlays
- 26 Frets
- scale 34 "
- Pickups Nordstrand DC5 parallel
- Preamp John east, piezo bridge and buffer
- ETS bridge, adjustable 16 mm black
- Hipshot tuner in black
- ETS bridge, adjustable 16 mm black
- Double action truss rod with carbon fiber reinforcements


So this is the details for the making of my new bass, here's the first pictures and i'm gonna update once i recieve new picture, when the bass is finished i will make a video for the review and the share the experience with you guys.

Hi mate,

I know this is a very old thread, I just wanted to ask how you have been enjoying your JCR bass over the years?

I just recently discovered this gentleman and his basses, and have put a deposit on one, so I'm keen to hear opinions from people who own them.

It would be great to hear from you.
