My new Fender American Deluxe

2 days ago, I became a proud owner of a Fender American Deluxe series bass guitar :hyper:, and boy lemme tell you it is worth every penny I spent on it. It was built in Corona California, and has Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups, and these things sound uh-maz-ing. I couldn't be more excited about owning her! Not to mention the she plays like a DREAM!

Congrats...I like the finish!. I have an '06 J DLX 5-string, which I love. You're going to really love it in the studio if you get the chance to record. I took it and my Sadowsky UV70-5 into the studio this past weekend for a smooth jazz session and they both sounded great.

I just bought your bass!... today!

Fender American Jazz Deluxe 4-String
(same finish) Olympic White/Tortoise
I was cobbling-together a new thread for advice as I saw this post.

Congrats... I love it.
It feels so much better than most basses that I've auditioned.
I couldn't resist!

Seriously fellas, this thing will NOT dissapoint. I wasn't really even shopping for a bass when I picked this thing up. I know its not the cheapest bass out there, but you want to talk about bang for your buck?

The funniest thing about all of this is back 10 or so years ago when I first started playing bass, I told my best friend that I would never play a fender because everyone and their mama had one. BOY WAS I NAIVE!!! I would put this bass up against any of em out there.

Primussucks2k, brother your're 100% bang on. I've had mine for about 4 months and its going in for a complete setup as I experimented with DR Marcus Miller Fat Beams which floored me with the tones. I purchased a Bad Ass III and will have my guy set this all up. I'll let you know how it sounds.

I'll tell you though, if I had seen the one you got, the decision would have been very hard not to grab that colour scheme, its a gasser.
