MY NEW KEN SMITH HAS ARRIVED

Well after about 5 and a half months, my new Ken Smith has arrived. This is my 4th one, but my first neckthrough, and the first one made with my choice of woods. It is a Bubinga top and back with a walnut core. Let me know what you think. :hyper:

That is a beautiful addition to the family! I've never had the pleasure of playing a Ken Smith, but I know that they are some of the finest instruments you can get. That Bubinga top is stunning. Very nice. That one looks exceptional. Enjoy it!

If you ever get a chance to play one don't pass it up. I play Gospel, and the Ken Smith sound is all over the place in almost every recording. I have been hired for gigs because I was playing a Ken Smith. In the world of Gospel if you have a Ken Smith, an MTD, and you can play the songs, you will always be able to find work.

STUNNING!!!!! YOU ARE SO BLESSED!!!! My dream bass is exactly like yours, only with the vintage body shape. Until that day comes, I will enjoy my po' (can't afford the last two letters!) man's Ken Smith-a Peavey Cirrus 5 Bubinga, which is an amazing bass IMHO!
You are right about gospel and Ken Smith. Whenever I hear Darrell Freeman, Simeon Baker and Al "The Burner" Turner laying down sick grooves on their Smiths, I am transported to Dreamland!!! If you haven't heard Al Turner's new CD, you are missing out! This is a great showcase of Al and the Smith! Here is a link with some sound clips:
