Well I just bought this bass from Thankful Birds (he has been a great talkbasser to deal with. It's a 1999 Fender Mexican Jazz Bass. I bought this bass to back my Fender American Standard Jazz V that is my main bass. I was going to just leave it alone, but i've decided to mod it.

Thankful Birds had already upgraded the pickguard, the thumbrest, and said the pickups were upgraded as well.

I just ordered some new Hipshot tuners, Seymour Duncan Basslines pickups with a stacked humbucker in the bridge position and a Leo Quan Bad Ass II Bridge.

I'm also planning on refinishing it maybe? I don't know. Tell me what you think.

I'll be sure to post new pictures when the work is done.

98 huh? Sweet man. Thanks for the help.

I forgot to mention that I was going to change the knobs and pots out too. I don't like the strap knobs either.

Does anyone know if i could put speed knobs on there? like you can put on an sg? i think that might be cool. what do ya'll think?

Also, about the finish, i know it isn't necessary but i think it would be cool to have it woodgrain.

Thanks!
