Hey Firk....what's that poster you have right there next to the Spector???? Nice bass by the way, Is that the 8-somethin' ebay one? I was going to get that one but it had the tonepump so I just opted for a different bass.

It's an Oliver LeGrand painting. Nope, I got it at an Estate sale. It was to good of a deal to not get it because of the tone pump. I have already ordered my EMG BQC for it.ApeIsHigh81 said:

Nothing wrong with it, it's just not my cup. It is REALLY HOT, +20db to be exact. I believe most of the EMG stuff is about +10db.Figjam said:

Almost. With the tone pump it sounds like a hopped up Jazz with to much gain for it's own good. Once I change out the preamp I'll let you know.the ombudsman said:Hey, Firk, does the new bass sound like a J-bass?

It's true that the TonePump is a bit too powerful.
they seem really cool basses but to me it looks like the same body as my Warwick steamer stage 1. do they sound similar to warwicks or do they have a dif sound ?
