I work in travel and the fires have been taking up a lot of our guys time, luckily I haven’t had any clients affected, so this is the first time I’ve had a chance to properly look at what’s happening.
NASA have satellite pix up and holy hell. Some fires in Idaho covering 29k acres.

That’s, comparatively, nothing to what British Columbia is dealing with. Their largest fire is just over 210,000 acres, and it’s only one of many! Most of the fires in BC are what are causing us such smoky conditions here in Seattle.

Jeebus. The maps I looked at only pointed out the USA geography. Makes sense BC is having a worse impact for you. Hope you’ve got a mask!
The second contender for flooring arrived a full six days ahead of schedule. I like the product better, but I don’t think it looks anywhere near as good as the one that I put down yesterday. Yesterday’s pick gets the win. It’s cheaper, it looks better, and it’s one less decision for me to have to make at this late stage of the game. Huzzah!
The first flooring choice is definitely more appealing. While this other one looks quality, it's also terribly boring, so since you've already got some bold colours going on it makes sense to go for the more interesting floor. I just shudder to think of how many picks I'd never be able to find on it (I like Dunlop Ultex; just the right shade of translucent amber to blend in with every wood floor on earth).
Fortunately when I'm using a pick my preferences will stand out pretty well on the chosen flooring.
Bass: Dunlop Tortex 1mm (blue)
Heavy Guitar: Dunlop Tortex 0.73mm (yellow)
Light Electric Guitar and Non-Strummy Acoustic: Dunlop Tortex 0.50mm (red)
Strummy Acoustic Guitar: Dunlop USA Nylon 0.63mm (gray)
Flooring is ordered. Shipping directly to my place was quite expensive (i.e. the cost of nearly three cases of material), so I had it shipped directly to Home Depot and will go pick it up when it arrives. Fortunately that's about a five minute drive from my house.
Got an email notification from IsoDoor this morning stating that my door has shipped from Boise Idaho via Old Dominion Freight. Checked on the Old Dominion website and it turns out the door is already in Seattle! I'm now just waiting for a call to coordinate a delivery time. IsoDoor has very specific receiving instructions. You have to inspect the door per their instructions or the warranty is void.
The HVAC ducting kit for the HRV is scheduled to arrive today. Unfortunately the air quality is even worse today than it was yesterday, so I'm still keeping any HVAC installation on-hold for the time being.

Getting there. The fact that there are still three contractors left to deal with keep me from truly believing that it’s close, but... Yeah, it’s close.
Old Dominion contacted me about delivering the door. They want to drop it off tomorrow or Friday, and I have to be there to deal with the IsoDoor warranty procedure. I’m not even supposed to sign for it until after fully inspecting the crate. If the crate is damaged the IsoStore instructions say to open it and inspect for damages. Old Dominion says they will not allow me to open the crate until I’ve signed for it. Here’s hoping that the crate wasn’t damaged so I don’t have to make a decision based on two company’s mutually exclusive and completely contradictory receiving procedures. 
Oh! And as it would happen, my buddy mentioned earlier has the correct torque wrenches for me and is delivering them on Saturday morning. HVAC is still on hold pending air quality improvements (supposed to ease up late today), but at least I’ll have the necessary tools when I get to that body of work.
