I only read the Necronomicon in bed before falling asleep. Safety first!
One gallon doesn't quite get it done on a single coat. To put up one coat with no spots of primer showing through across the entire ceiling is about 1.25 gallons.
Through some rather odd circumstances this morning I’m now home and painting ahead of schedule. I’ve got the first coat up on the ceiling and will do touch ups once it’s dried a little.

Vestibule paint is re-done. I’m waiting for it to dry before rendering a verdict.
A different shade of gray that hopefully won’t come out looking like powder blue once it’s dried like the last one did.
Touched up the ceiling in the main room. Now that it’s dry the coat looks super even. I’ll know for certain tomorrow once it’s dried overnight and I can do a spot check for any points where the primer is still poking through. Same will go for the vestibule. Now that I’m ever so slightly ahead of scheduled I might be able to sort out the HVAC fasteners and mounting this weekend too.

We picked out a paint sample that looked great on the wall. I purchased two gallons of paint in the same color as the sample. It rolled on and while wet looked just like the sample did when it rolled on. Now that it’s dry it doesn’t look anything like the sample did when it dried. It’s a shade darker than the first paint color I tried in there and is still way too blue for what I was going for. Whatever... I’m moving on. I refuse to paint that room a third time.

Yesterday we purchased a case of flooring that looked good in the sample and wall displays. We’ve been struggling with how representative a sample and wall display will be to 336sf of actual product. We decided to buy a whole case of one candidate, as well as ordering two others that they didn’t have in the store. I’m glad we did this as the top candidate ended up looking awful when we had enough of the case unpacked to get an idea of what it would look like across the entire floor. The next two will be here in a week or so, which will give us a much better idea.

Tomorrow I’m going to trim and pull tape, do any paint touch-ups that reveal themselves and call it good on painting. Next week I’m going to get the HVAC fasteners sorted out so that I can get those components mounted, punch holes in the wall and run everything. Here’s hoping that goes smoothly.

It's great that you can see the finish line from here. I'm finally getting there on my 'recording closet', too. I just need a new door for it and I'm ready to move my gear in and set up to record.
I haven't taken pictures along the way like Silky did. But I'll probably put something up when it's done.
Basically, mine will look like a lot of guys' music rooms here. It'll just have wiring for mics up permanently. So a crowded, busy looking music room, but with mics and a recording set up on the desk in the middle of the long wall.

I got the fasteners all sorted out. I decided it would be easier to describe what I went with via video rather than text, so watch this for the details:

The HRV will get sorted out next, but before I can do that I need to figure out if round ducting or PVC pipe is what’s needed to get through the wall. The installation video (see below) is dubbed in English from the original Russian and at 2:33 they describe ducting, but appear to be using PVC pipe. I need to determine if it’s a translation error or if there is appropriate ducting to use that matches their product.
So, as it turns out what I'm looking for is a specific type of European 125mm plastic ducting that is quite common over there, but practically unobtainium in the US. I can get it, but the shipping costs make it exceedingly expensive for what you're getting. I could try and find some thin wall schedule PVC that may or may not work, or I could order the correct product from Europe at a fairly high expense, or...
Turns out the HRV manufacturer offers a kit that includes the correct 125mm ducting, mounting template (already included with the main unit) and exterior vent covers (also already included with the main unit). It's still pretty expensive for what it is, but it's less than ordering the correct ducting from Europe despite getting a couple of items that are already included in the main unit. I placed an order and am having it shipped to my place. Hopefully it doesn't take too long to get here as this installation has me on hold with the final electrical and HVAC contractors.

that’s frustrating @silky smoove - obviously if you’re going to do something, do it right - feels like there should be an easier way with available materials!
I’d be happy to look into things on my side for the materials and shipping from the UK - although I imagine it won’t save much and would potentially takes longer - especially vs an available custom kit from the manufacturer.
