My New Studio Build (perhaps overly detailed)

@peterpalmieri: Where are you with your build? Last I heard you had put in the door and were working on installing more acoustic treatment.

This is cool. Years ago, in a different life, I helped build "Studio X" AKA Bad Animals Studio down in Belltown (Seattle.) The main studio was "a bit" bigger than your space, easily able to accommodate the entire Seattle Symphony Orchestra. The sound and mixing/control rooms incorporated a variety of acoustically reflective and trapping surfaces for just enough bounce "echo" if that's the term, to give a full lively sound while avoiding parallel surfaces or other structural elements that would create standing wave harmonics. There were moveable panels, again some reflective, some absorptive that could be set in various configurations to fine tune the rooms.

Door is up and acoustic treatment is in. I'm using the space and love it. No DIY work for me over the summer will finish up molding and trim and some other stuff in the fall.

Turning on an amp regardless of who's sleeping or what time it is absolutely great!
