I can't stay away man is that a nice bass. I would give that bass it's own room and give it a nice twin sized bed to sleep on.

Same thing happened to me. Bought an '82 MKI because at the time it was so hard to get an MKII
Finally got the MKII and sold the MKI 2 years later and i totally regret it. So dont sell it. They sound exactly the same. The only difference was the extra frets (which 99% of the time dont get used) and horn length.
Even though there was 20 something years between build dates on those 2 Wals...the neck played and felt the same.
I have a line on a MKI (fretless) that was born a fretted....think im going to "pull the trigger" and have talked to FBass' service guy about putting in some frets for me. Quote was cheap too (under $400). I have posted this pic before....

why do you want to turn that fretless into a fretted?
I really need to get one of these at some point. Beautiful bass, congrats.
