My New Warwick

Just bought this yesterday and it arrived today. The sound is a bit brighter than my corvette active. This one is a 95 Fortress passive. I thought I might have to change the electronics to active but after hearing it I'm not touching a thing. Lots of that Warwick growl. And its got to be 2-3 lbs lighter than my corvette. It only cost me $500. Bob at Low Down Sound in Ferndale MI (and here at Talkbass) was absolutely amazing to deal with.

Great bass. I lived in MI in the 90's right near Elderly instruments and ws there like once a week playing Fortresses and Streamers and dreaming of owning them. I will buy one (Wenge neck model) one of these days.

That`s a nice bass.
I used to own the same model, but the 5 strings version. I really liked that bass. Although it`s someway similar I preferred it over the Corvette Std. Main difference was body wood, Bubinga or Ash vs Maple. That`s the main reason for being a bit brighter sounding.
