Hmmm... how about an Alemberger?WANT! That's amazing! I'd definitely rock that.
So, will this become a full series? Non-reverse Thunderberger?
EB-O-Berger? Buzzardberger? El-two-kay-berger?
I love me some headless bass (although the double ball-end strings are a beast to find).
Can't you get single ball adapters for most any headless system that can't take double balls, these days?
Your headless mashups are awesome! Good work on this one, as well as the Rickenberger. This is the kind of thing I wish I could do.

The pickups and the kind of pickups they are will probably not give that high-end toppy sound the 'ray is known for.

Okay, who am I to tell you otherwise then?
On your Rickenberger, ever thought of getting in touch with Mike Rutherford, seeing as he played both the Rickenbacker 4001 and the Steinberger M series (Which he actually helped develop, they are an unofficial Rutherford signature model) I'm sure he'd be chuffed to see two of the instruments he's associated with coming together.
