My old Fleishman Bassic IV Headless (pics)

I got this bass about 8 years ago now, and I bought it as pictured, with no wear incurred. It is interesting to see a few differences:

The serial number on the black one is on the backside of the neck at the nut, whereas mine is on the "butt" of the instrument. Also, the tuners are different. Mine seem to be stock as there are no holes or signs around the tuners that anything was ever changed or modded. Maybe those Fender-style tuners were also standard, but changes were made midway through production? Also the logo is different. It's an interesting instrument- it has a little higher range (fretting) than my six-string bass. I like the phenolic fretboard, but am not so crazy about the 35-inch scale.

I tried one once. I just remember not being able to play it sitting down because the G string would touch the trousers when played seated. Probably fine played on a strap.

And I imagine that one's right arm may hit the E and A tuners?

Is that 36th fret a little cramped [too close to the 35th]?

I was in Ludlow guitars last week and there was no sign of that bass. I would have seriously considered buying it had it been on display in the shop (and of course any good).

That one at Ludlow has the same exact straplock I put on mine back in the day

I bought this bass two years ago only knowing that I liked the feel and the tone. With no nameplate, I figured it was a custom build. A fellow TBer helped me idenitfy it. Figured I would bump this thread. (see pics at my ID request post)

... an old thread, I see...
I just find one Hondo Flash and would like to bring it back to life.
The pickup and the piezo are alive, but unfortunately, someone has messed up the wiring, I can't figure out how to connect the wires.
I would appreciate if anyone who still owns original Fleishman or Hondo Flash, take a photo of the control plate and the wiring.
