These guy's certainly had it happening with their first few LPs.
I don't know if it was because Terrible Ted was opening for them and felt they needed to put the pedal to the metal, but the only time I got to see Kansas was in early '76, and was quite certain they would be outgunned by Nugent, who was very on that night, but as the guy next to me told me would happen, they blew Ted away with some heavy yet exploratory playing, and I became a big fan.
Let's hope this is not the last of such highlights in your musical life!
