My Pedalboard in Action!

Bumpin this up cuz I finally got around to editing some video from the show. It was recorded on a pretty crappy camera, but there are some cool shots and the audio is from the archive recording, mixed with a timy bit of the camera mic for some ambience.

Effects for the bass solo are: just a little Nimbus at first (end of chain) and then I kick on the BefPro with a long filter sweep, then I kick on the Oxide for the end. I'm also using the Oxide for the more rockin parts of the song.

I really enjoy using my pedalboard with this band. They are totally supportive of all of the craziness that I come up with. We are currently recording our 6th album (the first with this particular line-up), and it is the most enjoyable recording experience I've ever had (out of thousands of sessions). Thanks for checking it out and letting me know what you think!

Someone taped our show from last friday, so I figured I'd share it here since it features heavy effects usage. Here is the board I'm using:

I guess this would be better suited in the recordings forum, but I think some of the effects guys here will seriously enjoy it:

Jeepers! I would be lost trying to run that board and could never EQ it all

It is definitely a challenge. This biggest challenge being carrying the whole thing to rehearsals every time!

Running and EQing it are made a little easier by the Wounded Paw blender, and the Empress ParaEq. The blender is buffered so it helps with tone loss, and the parametric Eq allows me to hone in on problem frequencies and make cuts or boost when necessary. I'm also running it all through and Avalon U5 Di, which just makes everything sound nice.

My pedalboard has actually changed quite a bit since this was done. I've added a 3 Leaf Wonderlove, a v2 Cubic (replacing the old one), a Darkglass B7k, and I put the CopilotFX broadcast back on since updating the I/C. The Expression pedals unfortunately have been moved to the floor to make room for more PEDALZ!

Cool clip!

What's being used when you transition from the opening game boy solo?

Thanks, smalleq!

I'm using a Moog ep2 controlling the mix on the FrantaBit to bring in the clean signal as i transition out of the solo and into the main groove. When the keyboards come in, I bypass the signal entirely using the super blender. It's very convenient to be able to assign which parameter you can control with the expression pedal on the FB.
