I've been Jonesing for a Godin for years, BUT I play 99% Double Bass. My bass guitars are just for my amusement (or something like that).
Anyway, I came up with the idea of installing a Lace Low Profile Acoustic Bass Pickup on my Epiphone El Capitan ABG.
FYI, these are 'Out of Stock' at every online music retailer, EXCEPT GODIN. AND, they were less money than any of the other stores. The one I got from them came with 18 inches of bare wire with no jack, so I had to provide that myself.
Anyway, It sounds pretty awesome. The piezo pickup and built-in preamp sound great, but the Lace Mag pickup has a big PHAT sound like a P bass. I have a two-channel amp (as well as a two-channel Headway Pre) to blend them to my heart's content.
