My rig just ain't cutting it!

Be aware not all 8 ohm 410 cabs use 8 ohm speakers, some use 32 ohm speakers. If the cab you get is loaded with 8 ohm speakers wiring all speakers in parallel is the most reliable way to wire a cab, if one speaker goes out you only loose one, in series-parallel wiring you loose half the cab if one blows. With a solid state amp series-parallel wiring with half the cab not working you have a massive loss of power.

I can't imagine how anyone could possibly play a 600 seat venuue with a 75W 1x15.

Unless...the venue was specifically designed for acoustics like, oh, a performing arts center.:D

You dang sure ain't playin' no beer joint full of rowdy rednecks.
Thank God for that!

I don't know, dude...I've got stories of playing 700-800 seat venues with a 25w B-15N's stage volume. Most were, indeed, theaters, but I have done it in venues that were most definitely NOT designed for acoustics, and it's been awesome. It's even kept up with some pretty loud audiences. I think it's more band-dependent than anything. If you have a band where everyone works together to keep stage volumes reasonable, it's not hard. But if you have a guitarist who isn't happy unless he's always twice as loud as the rest of the band, forget about it.

keep the amp.

not sure how sensitive that 1x15 cab you have is. that could also be an issue.

i played mine during the 80s through a 2x15 cab which may have been 4 ohms (not sure, even pv couldn't tell me what the old bw 2x15 cab was rated at)

loud as heck.

Good point here...

I played mine through 3 different pairs of 15's.
2-15 Peavey cab loaded with 8 ohm Scorpions.
Pair custom built 1-15's loaded with 8 ohm PAS speakers.
Pair 1-15 PA cabs loaded with 8 ohm Black Widows.

Comparing those, Running through the PAS speakers, the DDT light stayed lit most all the time and tone was bleh! (I sold those)

The Black Widows and Scorpions both sounded great and gave enough headroom that the DDT compression was rarely activated, but the 2-15 cabinet design with the scorpions was better for hearing it at close range. So that cab stayed with my rig and I moved the Black Widows to PA low mid duties.

Keep the ideas/help coming! I have no idea about the sensitivity of the cab. I think I saw some threads about this and recomendations but can't recall right now. I have been searching 4X10's to see which ones have 8 Ohm speakers listed in their spec. The only one I have found is the Fender Bassman 4X10 that confirms the speakers are 8 Ohm Eminence. Can anyone confirm if the Acoustic B410 has 8 ohm speakers? Unfortunately, my budget is 300-400 max so the 299 looks pretty good IF, I it can meet my needs.
I thought searching for the right bass was complicated:)
Thanks to all.
