My second amp EVER!

WOOT WOOT.

got an ampeg BA115HP today :).

I went to guitar center thinking about getting the BA115.

But they didn't have any left.

So I asked how much an employee at guitar center could take down the price on the BA115HP and at first he was like 10 bucks. And then he went to talk to his "manager" and got it down 50 bucks. And then I was like, nah I can't afford that.

And so eventually he talked to his "manager" again got it down 95 bucks and I was all like.

YOU JUST MADE ME A REALLY HAPPY PERSON.

I went from a 35W Behringer to a 220W Ampeg.

:)

I know many people don't like ampegs anymore, but really, i dont even hear the hiss on the BA115HP unless i turn up the high past 8 and I like the sound that comes from it.

In fact, the Line 6 amps at GC were hissing a lot more.

Congrats on your new amp. It feels really good to step up doesn't it? I own that same amp. I have had it for 3 years and still enjoy playing through it. I use it as a practice amp and small jam session amp these days but I think it sounds very nice.

The hiss is only a problem on the BA115. the BA115HP uses a different HF compression driver and doesn't hiss like the 115.

Your amp will have enough beans to hang with a couple of 50-65 watt guitar amps and a drummer at small gigs. The D.I. is quite good as well when you need PA support.

You got a good deal on that amp. The extra $120.00 Ampeg asks for the BA115HP-T isn't worth it. It really doesn't sound much better than the non-tube version. Getting $95.00 bucks off of the retail price is a good deal. I think they are going to discontinue the BA115HP so they are dealing on them to move the stock.

Enjoy your new amp.

weird dude.. i just sold mine today haha. but dont get me wrong it was a great amp. It has alot of tone capabilities with that tone control switch man, position 2 and 4 are my favorites! I only upgraded cuz I desired a massive loud stack... silly me i guess. congrats tho!

PS.. also weird: i upgraded from a behringer to the BA115HP as well when i began playing haha! now i have a hartke HA5500
