Double Bass my self-built upright, vitual version

Hey everyone!

Lucky me, my dad in law is a luthier who helped me build my own upright.
When I discovered flash programming some years ago, first thing I made was "the virtual upright bassist" where you can play my Bass with your computers keyboard.
Its no serious musical tool, but I thought some might enjoy on a lazy sunday.

greetings!

Haha this is fun:D Is it you on the picture? It would be better if the notes would go on a somewhat sensible way on the keyboard, because I found playing chromatic passages a little hard, but it's not meant to be serious so I really can't see why you'd need to fix that tho. :D you should make a smartphone app of some kind 'cause there are the guitar ones, but there is no bass smartphone application yet:D At least not on Android.

glad yo guys enjoying this.
YES thats me in the pic (some years ago...).
As for the keys: I dont see the prob with chromatics, its from left to right, down to high ascending by half a note.
Dont miss the extra features on the STRG and SPACE Keys!
looking at it, I remember clicking the webcam shots with my toe while holding the bass....

If I knew how to code apps, I'd do it.
In fact, it was done within the trial-period of some animating software I dont even have any more.
My latest home-coding efforts went into wikiloops.com, but to be honest: coding is one of the reasons keeping me from playing my real DB :-)

That's fantastic! The bass sounds really good too, thanks to you and your father-in-law. Thanks for posting this. ;)
