Thanks!!! John our guitarist wrote most of the melody, but one our drummer, Edgardo and I got to it, it turned into a samba and then the B section was rewritten to grab that sound and the solo section further stamped it home...

I'm not a fan of ABGs, but I do like the Takamine TB-10 and I REALLY LIKE YOURS! What a beauty. What a score. Maybe it's something to do with the ff-holes. I prefer guitars/basses with ff-holes to round yawning chasms. Anyway...

Looks great and more importantly you make it sound great. (I listened on headphones and your bass doesn't get lost in the drums, btw.) Thanks for posting.

THANKS!!!!!! for all the support gang! It's quite a bit of fun and even though we're part time musicians we really enjoy writing music and playing.

In fact we found out early on that most of the places that would book us don;t pay ASCAP fees so we quickly had had to toss out the idea of bangin' through Real Book tunes. So writing became a necessity! But that was a good thing!

great bass but i dont think it is the takamine. here is why.the takamine tb 10 has a different;

tailpiece
headstock
f holes
lower horn
controls location
bridge

at least that's what i got from a quick comparison of photos. the takamine also has a telescoping pole at the bottom so you can raise the bass and play it like an upright.

i would really like to know what your bass is.

It's definitely not a Takamine— nor does it sound like one. It appears to be a luthier one off project that found it's way to a music store which eventually put it on Ebay.

No one bid on it other than me, because it had no pickups. That was a simple and inexpensive fix!

I know, I needed to point the amp to the camera...but I'm still working out the kinks when it comes to feedback. I have to sit in the opposite direction as the amp or interesting things happen...

I have balloons in the f holes, velcro around the strings at the tailpiece to help mitigate it, but at certain volumes it can get hairy. I also have my guitarist keep his amp aimed away from me, as well...

Got it! When we're outside I've found I need it more as the volumes usually get higher...
