My wife says when she gets her inheritance..she wants to buy me a new Bass......My top three are a Gibson EB-3, Tobias or a Warwick $$..any Preference Guys??and girls??

i would choose the warwick since i havent tried a tobias. a gibson would be great if you dont mine the neck dive, but the warwick has plenty of knobs and switches for a good variety of sounds
The $$ is like the most popular warwick model presently (talking about sales number here), it says a lot I think.
Depends, I guess. I'm an older guy, so the EB3 would work for me, but a Fender could never be wrong either, as astutely pointed out by J. Crawford. A Stingray could work as well, right?
I don't do fenders...the finger span just doesn't work for me...I don't have "Stanley" fingers as ic Clarke!!!;0)
Heck, if I had a choice, I'd go Warwick. But I might go with a Thumb 5 BO over a $$....

I'm an old dude too...;0) 54 and my influences were Jack C, Jack B, Felix P and Mel S.
My two cents...why don't you just go out and try as many different basses as possible to see what you really, really like be it a Warwick, Gibson, Tobias, Lakland, MTD, Zon, etc. etc. etc.
We're only talkin about maybe 2 grand or so!!!!...and I always had a "Jones" for an EB-3
