Along with the Hyperbass, it looks like a bunch of Scepter models (guitar included) along with one I can't ID that appears to be something built during Joe Zon's days in Buffalo, NY. Nice collection

Cuz its fun to look at? I don't care how many posts he has in how long, where else on TB can you find a pic showcasing ZON's older basses to this extent?

I remember seeing a bass like the 2nd from the left at the ZON shop a while back. Weighed a ton, and had some sweet body laminates, never got to plug it in tho. I like the newer designs alot more then the sceptre series, but those are definitely close to the roots of the ZON family tree.

Great collection!! I bet Joe would get a good smile out of that pic!

I always find it assinine to start a thread & show off your gear & not come back to reply(though it's only been a day) to a question or even give a "thanks" for peoples compliments regardless of what the value/rarity in the pic is.

Great to show off, but give a little more info than a pic...

Hello Fellow Bassists,

Thank you all for the nice replies....a couple of you have really good eyes and knowledge of the Zon Standard Bass 2nd from the Left: it's actually the sixth bass that Joe made in that particular model and was displayed at the 1981 NAMM Show if I have my facts straight.

The six stringer is a rare Zon Stiletto that I picked up from a gentleman who lived in France.

Finding the four Scepters has been the equivalent to finding four '58 Gibson Explorers in my mind: I enjoy them tremendously and they are prized possessions that get played regularly I might add.
