Yes, Sterling Ball decided to cancel production of his own brainchild when he saw that Stingray sales (which are more profitable basses) were slipping.

Internet truth! What he actually DID say was that he might as well toss a hundred dollar bill in with every SUB. Stingray sales have never really been hurt by anything else in the line.

Anyway, YES, congratulations, I have a SUB and love it madly. Truly indestructible and great tone.
