NAD: Aguilar Tone Hammer 500

Went to my mom and pop guitar store and browsed their amp selection. They had this sitting on top of a Aguilar 810 cab for only $549. I've never played an Aguilar amp before but I was definitely impressed. I grabbed it and brought it home and immediately hooked it up to my Marshall 215 cab. I'm still tweaking a bit with the EQ but I definitely see the love for these heads. My Rickenbacker had plenty of that Ric growl that I love and my Warwick just boomed. My only real complaint is that the fan is a bit loud when I was playing at practice volume but I'm confident I'm not going to notice it live.

Any suggestions on the EQ for those that are familiar with the heads? I found the best tone for my Ric is everything at 12:00 with a little punch to the treble.

There is an exhaustive thread re: Tonehammer amps. A definite learning curve that rewards the diligent.
At 1st, keep the DRIVE off and adjust the GAIN to personal preference. The DRIVE introduces more harmonic complexity and will, at higher settings, function as a combo HPF/LPF filter. @Eublet has posted some very valuable info on the workings of the Tonehammer amps. Well worth a read..
