I raised the money by selling my 61 Bassman head.No one is going to throw shade on your tone with ANY credibility. Bet on that. It’s 2026, and the bass world is flooded with wonderful feather weight options..
And here I am, going in the complete opposite direction.
lol
This amp is unique. Just starting to get acquainted..
Master on ten. Got that part-
Cheers
The cab is a 1516be.I recognize the Diesel 15, got one... whutzat one on top of it?
I used to have a flight case version of it with the Mesa 400+ back in the day. Pretty cool rigs. One reason I got rid of the cab was because I was worried about how it would be mic'd with all the different driver sizes. I was much younger then. It also wasn't the main reason for selling, just a reason.Dang, I need to clean the screen!
Nice, never seen one. Love the old-school Mesa-Boogie stuff. I still gig that old Diesel box.View attachment 7471836

I paid about the same $450 in the mid 90s for the D180 I had. Kept it for a solid 10 years. It was a backup to my Bass 400 which I still have.I had one back about 30 years ago and it was a great amp, just not well suited to my needs at the time. The very first gig it went on I was playing my AVRI 62 Jazz and using an EAW 1-15 cabinet. I thought it made me sound like Noel Redding
You’ll probably laugh when I tell you I got it used for a mere $450 back then
I love Texas but I miss having a basement.
I lived my whole life in Florida up to a few years ago before moving up north. I'm obsessed with having a basement, now.I love Texas but I miss having a basement.
