New American Fender bass day for me! The deal ($1,199 sealed in box) was too good to pass up. The bass played well right put of the box although I will set her up later with Dunlop Super Brights. I was going to put Fender N3 pickups that I have but the V-mod puckups are surprisingly quiet and sound great. I will stick with them.

PS. I ordered an anodized gold pickguard. Always loved the combo of black and gold.
