Naked strings

I bought them as soon as i saw the ad two mounths ago. I think they are a good buy, and sound pretty good. The tension feel is a tad less than i'm used to, but not bad at all. I did not review them sooner because strings are a matter of taste. So for someone to say "they suck" or whatever seems silly to me. Now as quality goes by all means review all you want. Example Hartke strings I tried had the worst wrapped ball ends I ever saw. I saw none of that with these strings. Good stuff all around. Naked strings are a good option for beginner, semi-pro, or anybody on a budget. I know I'll buy again. Keep up the good work.

Mine arrived yesterday; found them in the mailbox when I got home from work.

Hey--at this price point (the buy-two-get-one-free offer takes the unit price to about $12 for a five-string set!) I'm sure not gonna complain that it took a couple weeks for the delivery. I keep a couple spare sets of strings on hand, so that's no biggie for me.

Haven't put them on my fave bass yet (it's not needing strings at the moment) so I can't comment on sound or feel. But these sure look like good-quality strings. The outer wrap is smooth and even, the tie at the ball end is nicely finished, and the thread wraps are fine.

I ordered 3 set sets of 4, and 3 sets of 5. Total price was around $53. I just put a set on my Ibanez BTB555 today replacing the stock Elixers... WOW absolutely incredible sounding strings for less than $9 per set. What a great value!

Can you find better strings? Sure you can, but you would be hard pressed to find anything substantially better even at twice the price. I'm sold. I have 8 basses now (I'm trying to thin the heard) so string at this price that are actually good is a godsend! I'll be back for more.

I ordered three sets several months ago and they have sat in the shipping package since I received them. I just opened them up and put a set on my Nash J and so far they're awesome. All four strings are bright and punchy. I absolutely HATE it when I put a new set of strings on a bass to find that one of them is "dead" and has no brightness to it. I'm a fan and will be buying more when the time comes. :)

I received my order a few weeks ago. 3, 5 string sets. I put a set on one of my basses a couple of weeks ago. So far, I have been pretty impressed..for the money. Like some, I feel the winding and taper on the B starts too far up the string. On my 34" scale bass, the B winds up on the post a bit. On my 34.5 or 35" scale, I am sure it will be fine. Like many have said..are there better strings out there..yes. But, I bought 3 sets of strings for about what I pay for one set of others. So, these will definitely be in my mix of strings, for sure. My vote is for a choice or Long scale and another for Extra Long scale. It will fix the B string issue. On a smaller headstock, I could see it being a problem on some of the other strings too.
