Name some harder female rock songs

The female singer in our band is looking for some suggestions of some harder-edge type songs to sing...

She's currently singing:

Judas Priest - Living after Midnight
Halestorm - Get off
Black Crowes - Hard to handle
Pink - Please Don't Leave Me
Meredith Brooks - Bitch
Benetar - Hit Me With Your Best Shot

we're doing some other stuff with male vocals such as:

Theory of a Deadman - Bad Girlfriend
Collective Soul - Gel
Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way

we're looking for stuff that compliments the above but is upbeat and gets people moving...

Anybody have some good suggestions of some more edgier songs to present?

Her voice is lower, she doesn't sing to high, so lower stuff is better. Guy songs would be ok too if interesting.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Of course hard is relative so I'll just list every female rock band we do, um, you know what I mean:

paramore
no doubt
pink
guns n roses
incubus
garbage
aerosmith
bon jovi
def leppard
all american rejects
kings of leon
violent femmes

and she could probably due sublime but our guitarist loves them so he does it

I have been in several bands with strong, low-voiced female singers. The current band I'm in is a little more blues-oriented, but here are some of the songs (in addition to the ones you already listed) that have worked well for our singers:

Black Velvet - Alannah Myles
Mama He Treats Your Daughter Mean - Susan Tedeschi's version
(Click the "see me..." link in my signature to see us doing our version of that on YouTube.)
Love Me Like A Man - Bonnie Raitt (crowds eat this up!)
It Hurt So Bad - Susan Tedeschi's version (crowds love this, too)
Runaway - Bonnie Raitt's version
Take Me To The River - Al Green's version (NOT the Talking Heads version)
Cumbersome - Seven Mary Three (you might have to transpose it to whatever key works best for her)
Rock N Roll - Led Zeppelin
I Love Rock N Roll - Joan Jett (yeah, it's kinda trite)
Chain Of Fools - Aretha Franklin (GREAT opening number!)
I'm the Only One - Melissa Etheridge
Bring Me Some Water - Melissa Etheridge
Your Little Secret - Melissa Etheridge
Pensacola - Joan Osborne

In general, the type of singer you describe will be very successful with most Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi and Melissa Etheridge songs.

If the links are working, you can hear a couple more from our female singer. (Not all of the songs on that page are sung by her.)

Good luck! Send me a link when you get something recorded and uploaded.

If you don't mind an obscure cover, try Open Your Eyes by Guano Apes. They have the best frontwoman in rock IMO, her voice is deep-ish and her style is pretty aggressive. I also like the suggestion of Bring Me Some Water by Melissa Etheridge. Not a well-known song, but it's bluesy and it smokes.

Otherwise, you could try some Flyleaf, Paramore, maybe even Lacuna Coil. Lots of good female rock singers out there.

Thank you for all the great suggestions...

I presented most of these suggestions to her and the band tonight, and it looks like we're going to be working on the following:

Halestorm - It's Not You
Joan Jett - Dirty Deeds
Joan Jett - I Hate Myself For Loving You
Lee Aaron - Whatcha Do To My Body
Ted Nugent - Cat Scratch Fever
Crazy Bitch - BuckCherry
Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet

Gotta like doing some of these guy songs with a female lead.
