??? Eating Raoul is camp, but intentionally so, and quite witty; and Gummo is part of that director's regular attempts to make humankind look worse than we already do. IOW sure they are not everyone's idea of great film, but they both have a lot of thought and intention behind them.
It was the 1978 version and it was on VHS too.They are some what like a cult classics too. Right next to those DVDs I have "Brazil", "The Toxic Avenger" and "Ed Wood"![]()
