I spent Hundreds of dollars on strings.
Looking for the perfect set.

The above three strings are it for me.

TI-flats.
These strings were made for a P-bass.

DR-Sunbeams.
I use these for 5-string basses, and my Jazz bass.

Ken Smith Compressors.
These string work great for fretless, and Hollow body basses.

On my Jazz: Fender 9050M, these really make a Jazz thump!

On my P: Fender 9050M's as well, but I just bought some
D'addario Chromes. I've never used them, but I
hope they have that same flat wound character.

well I had to vote nickel plated because thats definitely what I have bought the most of
but at present I have a bass with chromes , a bass with rotosound flats , I have two basses with xl nickel plated and I just got an ibanez with I think has elixers on it

I'd love to try some tape wound and some pressure wound or half round but damn they are hard to find in australia

I don't know if its an age thing or a style thing but I used to love bright strings I used to use dean markley blue steal when they first came out and loved how bright they are .. I have a set of hibeams that I put on a bass about a year ago and they are in the draw after about an hours playing ... now I seem to play flats all the time

I just got a dingwall AB 5 string, so right now its just Dingwall strings for me (there's only 1 kind). They're pretty good, but i'm probably going to see if there's a set of flats i can get that will fit the 37 inch scale at some point.

It depends on which bass I'm using. I like stainless rounds on the P, the BTB and the Stingray 5, nickel rounds on the J. For feel, I like nickel rounds best. My brand of choice has been D'Addario, forever.

straight down the line d'addario EXL-170-5's are what i use. i really like new string brightness so these whilst lasting well are cost effective because i change all the time

D'Addario Pro Steels,I use to use their Red Copper,but they discontinued them(shame too because they sound like you were playing a piano)

I'm experimenting a bit - and then to always come back to DR. Right now i have DR Fat-Beams on the Wal and DR Lo-Riders on the Zon.

I also liked very much the Fodera Diamond Steel series - but they're so hard to get over here in Germany ....
