Naming my blues band

Mine was gonna be "The Anvil Blues Project" or "The Anvil Blues Band" (some people don't like the "Project" thing!) Doesn't look like it's gonna happen now...so feel free!

Name it now. Don't wait. The more members involved in the decision, the less likely you will ever have a name. If you don't do it now, you may find yourself drawing straws to see which name is used the night before your first gig. Or, as we did, each person contributed one word to the name. We ended up with Beaver Cup Discharge.


Of course, if you name it now, you own it. If it sucks its on you.

Any ideas based on the music that we cover?

Yeah, look at the lyrics of the tunes you cover. Lot of gold there. We chose Bad Luck & Trouble as the name for our band, pulled it from the song "Born Under a Bad Sign". The phrase or something like it no doubt appears in several other blues songs, so its generic enough to not be associated with any one song or singer, but still fairly genre specific.
