Hey, guys! Thanks for kicking things off, @CapnStallings :bassist:

I’m hoping this thread will be useful for book-related questions (technique, theory, practice materials, etc).
I also look forward to hearing how you guys are liking the book so far, and for some fun discussion about BASS.

    All my best,
    Nate

  3. Nate, you are a beast of a player brother. Nice that you put your thoughts down in a book/media form. Hooah!

Thanks, @BassNugget ! I kept getting requests to make this book, and I'm glad I finally did. The process was much more work than I thought it would be, but all of the positive feedback has made it more than worth it.

  8. Hi Nate! Just got the ebook version last night. I’ve been playing bass for years but I’m self taught and thought it would be a good idea to refresh my techniques.

A question about the “intro to slap” exercises. I see the audio tracks for exercises 1-4 in the zip file, but where are exercises 5-8? Or do some exercises not have accompanied tracks?

Are there any plans to sell the physical version in the EU?

Hey, roccobladr! So sorry about that. I'll look into what have caused the issue. In the meantime, here is a link to download the audio for Beginner Slap Exercises 5-8. To download, select the three-dot icon on the right margin and then select "download."

All tracks come with audio demonstrations and backing tracks, as well as video demonstrations. The Beginner Slap Exercise videos will go up early next week. You can view the book's full video playlist here (currently at 74 videos and counting).

Thanks a ton for purchasing my bass book. I hope it helps bring your playing to the next level. :bassist:

Hey, Katoosie! The physical version is currently available in the EU. Go to your country's Amazon.com web-store and search "Nate Navarro Bass Book." Thanks for asking. :)

Much appreciated, Katoosie! I'm seeing the same thing on amazon.se, and it looks like it may take a little while longer to be available there. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for working around it.

    Hey, Guillaume!
I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying it so far. The Guitar Pro files are for version 7. They can also be opened with free software including TuxGuitar and soundslice. :)
    All my best,
    Nate
