Such a fun song. No way asses stay in seats with this song blasting.
Such a great bass line. It’s always interesting seeing how the original bassist played a part that I play myself, because it’s inevitably different.
I'm a funk guy but listened to a lot of other genres. That was a great song. After hearing that bassline on the hook section, I didn't even bother trying to learn it! SMDH! Didn't know it was Nathan East until many years later.
That was Nathan's first take?!?! Yeah, not sure I'm going to "enjoy" setting all my basses on fire before slitting my wrists...

. There’s another great video where he shows the riff on the Yamaha prototype bass that he played and recorded that song on. He’s a great player and a such great dude, always an ear to ear smile.
