Turner Renaissance 5, quilted maple, mystery rosewood. I got this one directly from Rick right after the 2013 NAMM Show where it was a display at his booth.

Some folks like matched headstocks...
A few years ago, I had Alembic build this Custom fretless 5... birdseye maple top and back, that had some marbled figure in it, mahogany body core, maple and purpleheart neck beam, unlined ebony fingerboard (with a "Chain" inlay at 24th 'fret') cocobolo facings on the headstock.
Ordinarily this backplate would be brass or plastic. They used the wood dropout piece, and made a backplate for it.
I just asked them to pick out something pretty for the headstock faces. Standard practice is to match the top wood. I got a nice contrast instead.
As far as I know, mine is the only Alembic with Schaller M-4 lites with these 'wavy' knobs.
(okay, that ain't wood, but the gold sets off the wood real good...)
