No surprise that Golden State and Cleveland steamrolled their way to the finals.
Anyone but me interested in what happens?

Interestingly, it's pretty amazing that these 2 teams have made it the past 3 years, after both franchises suffered in ignominy for so many years - poorly run, making poor runs. That's behind them, and they are two truly great teams.

I'm not surprised with the Cleveland LeBrons at all. Remember in Miami how one year the Bulls were gonna be a challenge? Then the Pacers? Nothing. The East has been so weak that unless more stars migrate, whatever team LBJ is on will cruise to the finals. Seven years in a row? That a record? Has to be...

As a Warriors fan I'm obviously biased. I remember when it was tight between trading Ellis or Curry. Now we are spoiled with talent, but aside from Durant and the centers, it's not like we dished out money for talent. I like the extra push that winning for the people that drafted you appears to give.

I'd love nothing more than for it to be a sweep. It might make last year hurt a bit less. And it's more likely, given the teams we played that either beat depleted teams (Jazz) or were depleted themselves (Spurs). For the western conference, the warriors had an easy path.

Warriors in 4.

I'm rooting for the Cavs. Golden State is rightfully favored--replacing Barnes with Durant was obviously a massive upgrade, and having four current All Stars is virtually unprecedented--but Cleveland certainly has a better chance than the <10% chance given by Vegas and the analytics people.

For those calling for a sweep, remember Golden State won the first two last year by an average of 24.

McGee has been my new favorite bench guy this year. Livingston has been good here and there (especially in years past), but having a guy that lives on lobs and monster dunks is something new in the warriors' long range assault strategy. I really hope we can hold onto him and Iggy plus the big 4 for several more years. Last time I did the math it looked like they could beat up the West for years to come.

Yeah, McGee needs a raise, but hoping it's not a bank-breaker. He could go elsewhere for more now after this season, I bet, but hoping he has the sense to stay.

At least it coincides with everyone getting more money with the tv proceeds thing I kinda sorta understand. I too hope a decent raise is enough. Didn't he come from their d league team? I thought I heard that. (I should know; they play 15min away.)

Barf. I said all second half that if the 3 pt percentages stay this far apart, it's going to catch up to the Cavs. They had open 3s off of James drives and just missed them. Meanwhile, GS hit them.

Oh well, that's that. I would have missed games 5 and 6, anyway.
