NBA Finals thread

There are no Canadian teams in the playoffs, let alone the finals. Sorry.Canadian checking in... Stanley Cup Finals are on... So who cares?
lol,.. GS and the word "tough" in the same sentence! it's true, though, they're making the Cavs look like boys among men. where is the Cleveland D. where is their offense. didn't they recently set a playoff 3-point record?!!

Well, it's still our game and half the players are Canadian, so there's that.

Cleveland did some nice things in the first half, but laid a complete egg in the 2nd half. Irving hasn't done much. Love's injury was unfortunate and obviously should have been a foul. Smith was pitiful. Tristan Thompson has no offensive game. Shumpert has no offensive game. Where are they going to get points from?
On the GS side, tonight it was Green with input from everybody else in spurts. Bogut's early 5 blocks were great. Barbosa caught fire again. Livingston played a solid game. There are just too many players in the rotation that can step up if any of the GS stars get shut down. Will be playing a gig during the game Wednesday, but I hope Cleveland at least shows some heart.

Although I would love to agree with DerekW on the importance of hockey to us Canadians, this post is titled NBA finals, not NHL finals. Golden State looks unstoppable and Sid the Kid should win another cup, so great sports all around.
And Green managed to do it w/o kicking anyone in the crotch.
Unfortunate for the Cavs to lose Love last night. They looked weak without him in the second half. Even so, GS looked very much in control in the first half.
While GS may seem like they shoot a lot of three's, they are very good at moving the ball and finding the open man. How many times, even in the first half, did they find somebody alone under the basket? As was said before, where was Cleveland's defense?
For all of James' talents, he's only one man and if his team isn't going to support him, it will be another unsuccessful trip to The Finals for LeBron.

I was bummed to see the Cavs lose Love. The silver lining might be that they go with someone who plays stronger defense than Love, which I think will help them more than losing Love's shooting hurts them.
Still a lot of basketball to be played, looking forward to it.

Hi guys, watching the finals and very happy to see that Varejao is healthy and Leandrinho Barboza is choosing his shots wisely, although he is not fast as he used to be. Also very happy to see Livingston being a force in the series after his knee and all. I feel it for the Cavs, but this last two games is like watching Le Bron alone without support. Again.
It appears to me (not a basketball scholar) that the entire team at Golden State is playing on a higher level than the Cavs. The Cavs are essentially Lebron and the stooges...or at least, that's the way they're playing.

It is not over until someone wins four games. Golden State knows that and I think the Cavs do too. Did you see the interview with Green? He was asked "How do you figure out a team like Cleveland?" He said "Cleveland is too good a team to figure out. "
It will be interesting to see the two teams battle it out in front of the Cav's fans. Will Cleveland find a way to beat the Warriors? They for sure didn't get to the finals by not playing smart ball.
I think the Warriors have a great chance at this but it is far from over. Kerr and the Warriors know if they let up Cleveland will run right over them.

I just finished watching one of the episodes of Genius by Steven Hawking that I taped before the stupid fund raiser started. Anyway, the episode referred to the randomness of the universe and the many worlds theory wherein all possible outcomes occur in one of an infinite number of universes. This left me to conclude that the Cavs can indeed win the 2016 NBA title. Or maybe even the Sixers.
