I warned you about Paul, and his strange techniques.....Notice how, after he breaks the finish all apart, he gets all the pieces to fit back together again. Without losing any. That takes a lot of extra time. I don't have the patience for that.

And you really don't want to know how he ages those tuners. But one secret ingredient in the chemistry is genuine Fillmore tap water, right out of the 100 year old pipes here in the Secret Underground Lab. I've seen what it does to my coffee machine. Paul says it's the best formula he's found, and he drives up here just to use our spigot.

This is pure sorcery, plain and simple. The devil's handiwork, beware....

Just in case anyone's curious, these aren't parts basses that a guy puts together then slaps his logo on them, Paul does everything; he chooses the woods, makes the neck, the body, and does all the assembly himself. He's a warlock.

Yeah, he makes us do these funny chants and dances whenever we're helping on one of his instruments. Kinda weird, but it seems to work.

I know you are eager, but be careful not to push Paul too much. If he gets too stressed and loses his concentration, he messes up the words of the chants. And then bad things happen. Often involving smoke.

I saw your bass over in Keith's shop a few days ago, and it does look very nice.
