NBD: 1989 Squier MIK Precision Bass

Not bad for $200 out the door. Neck is by far the best P neck I've ever played it's not even close. Already strung with Rotosound flats which I'm pleasantly surprised by and the finish has aged nicely.

The body is pretty light though and I noticed a part where the finish was chipped and the wood was exposed near the controls. Just used it for leverage in negotiating didn't think much of it, but now that I look closer I think it might be plywood lol? I remembered that a few MIK Squiers were plywood, but I thought that was in the 90s. Guess I'm unlucky. Serial number starts with E 9.

Yep, MIK could be plywood.
Maybe that was a 90s thing.
I think that only lasted about 5 years, but I don't remember which yers.
I seem to remember hearing that E series S/Ns were desireable.
200 bux for a P that you like and already has the strings you wanted
isn't a bad thing.
