Perusing for a Stingray, somehow I found and acquired this... Always wanted a Warwick, don't think these come up often especially in this condition. Almost mint, hard to believe for being 23 years old. Must have been a "Safe Queen", part of a collection that never left the crib and didn't really get played hard/a-lot. I am very pleased with it, especially the switchable wiring for the bridge pick-up and surprised by the passive tone. Not nearly as heavy as I was thinking; 9lb 10oz

Related question: this is a 2002 and came with some kind of Warwick "Secure Lock" system... Searching has me finding multiple kinds... I would be crushed if this took a header on me. I tried and the "Dunlop" strap locks that came with my 2000 Modulus. They seemed to fit and lock just find (A little loose but felt secure)

Question: What is the recommended course of action in these situations? Could I just buy a new set of Dunlop "Studs" and put them in place here? (I would rather not have 2 separate straps)

Just buy a new set that matches what you need and be done with it. I put Schallers on everything, not because I like them but because all my straps use that format. If i had started with Dunlop, I suppose that's the way I would have went.

Nice find! Congrats! You're right, that is in really great shape. Neat inlays, I've not seen ones like those before from Warwick. The weight, although not light, isn't too bad. For reference, my first Warwick (a Corvette Standard in bubinga) was upwards of 11 lbs.

I've got nothing on the strap lock question but agree with others that said to get the pins that match whatever is on your strap(s).

First off, gorgeous! I have that in a 4 and 5 string. Love them! For your strap lock question I second this. Just install your strap lock of choice, and mine is Dunlops. It's just safer. Keep the old ones so you can always revert to stock.
