NBD! 2018 Gibson RD Artist!

I need to stay off of eBay and Reverb.
This arrived today, to join the ebony RD that arrived yesterday. I'll keep my TI jazz flats on the ebony and string the natural RD with rounds?

Awesome! You are out of control, but Awesome!
Every time I've tried one of those, I loved it, but they are way too freakin heavy for me and my wimpy shouldero_O

If you guys like this style of bass but you don't want it to weigh a metric ton... Dunable will make you one that isn't oppressively heavy. My swamp ash R2 is the second lightest bass I have. Well under 10 lbs and 35" scale to boot.

Mines reverse P but they can and will do any pickup config.

Here's the guy from monolord's with a PJ config. I've seen a bunch with dual humbuckers too; and they look great.

Why is this not a regular model? The natural is gorgeous

It was a limited edition for 2018, along with many other guitar models that were made just for one year.

Even so it did not sell overwhelmingly well. I believe that the street price was $1600 or so with HSC.

While I love RD - owned a Standard for over a decade - they are definitely not everyone's cup of tea, and their weight (Sweetwater had some listed at 14lbs when new) is definitely off-putting for a lot of folks.

As a boutique seller, Sacha Dunable seems to have made it work.

DWLANG, that's the color of mine except for my maple neck. It was the first maple neck anything by Gibson.

Not sure of the year of mine. Late 80s possibly.
