So I figured i would share this with the general TB folks. I know fan frets are less of a novelty now, but Imho i love em.

So this is a 2024 Dingwall super J that i got custom made to my spec. I ordered through John Fox Bass (return customer, highly advise!). My goal was a modern take on a classic 70's fender look. Nothing fancy (wood and paint for dingwalls can get wild), but would cause a double take to most.

Here we have my first bass… a 96' mexican jazz with a few upgrades.

yeah, that's killer! and what a beauty  --- even though i appreciate the fender in your side-by-side pic, too. your collection/herd is impressive, but i know you're into that very cool, new ax --- congratulations on your new instrument!

thanks for the comments! i still love my old mexican. it plays well. it has custom shop pickups and of course the added pickguard and covers. the ashtrays are what makes it pop imho.
