NBD: 2024 Dingwall Super J

So I figured i would share this with the general TB folks. I know fan frets are less of a novelty now, but Imho i love em.

So this is a 2024 Dingwall super J that i got custom made to my spec. I ordered through John Fox Bass (return customer, highly advise!). My goal was a modern take on a classic 70's fender look. Nothing fancy (wood and paint for dingwalls can get wild), but would cause a double take to most.

Here we have my first bass… a 96' mexican jazz with a few upgrades.

That's one killer bass. What preamp did you go with? DGTC, Glock, and Neve are all great choices.

thanks! i am a big fan of the darkglass frequency spectrum so went eith that. that being said, i have not tried the others.

hahah. the volume on the bass is pretty high up (high output bass also, even when in passive mode)z. with the gain it gives some nice tube grit. more master invites angry family.

thanks for the comments! i still love my old mexican. it plays well. it has custom shop pickups and of course the added pickguard and covers. the ashtrays are what makes it pop imho.

it is the battery compartment cover. it is magnetized and the two holes allow for tool free removal with your fingers. it is a cool design.
