Got this one earlier this week. 9.2 lbs of metal necked goodness. The black Imron finish looks awesome in person & the 33.25” scale is a joy to play. I’m all out of GAS now lol

The scale and pickup layout looks quite "Ric-ish".

Yep, Electrical Guitar Company makes Travis Beans as well.
Yes they’re single coils. The bobbins are epoxied into black powder coated stainless steel “cups”- the magnetic field is magical and it’s easy to dial in some Ric tones for sure. I’ll post some sound clips in the coming weeks

I owned an EGC 4-sting a few years ago, and aluminum necks and bodies sure have a distinct character.
plus- NEVER any issues with truss rod adjustment.
When I decided to flip this bass (as I've done with all too many others) it was grabbed up so fast there were skid marks!
These are desired builds, and the wait time is pretty long I understand.

I played an original TB. Yes, with the pickups positions it sounds similar to a 4001. I have a 4001, so I passed. Still like the TB's look and all.
Oh yeah, this one’s a keeper. Been GASing for one with these exact specs since the late 90s. The thin body / wide horn spacing aesthetic has always been my favorite TB2000 look, thanks to Mick Karn of course haha. Cool. I've seen Bean Basses go for $$$$$$, so there's that too.
The models with wood bodies are quite stunning too.
I sure would like a WAL, but I'm afraid that Climate Change or something will end us all B4 I could have it built- That is, if they still take orders!
I love the natural finishes too! I was originally going to go with a natural finished mahogany body, but the completed weight would have been around 11.5 lbs hahaha no thank you. Pleased as punch that this one weighs less than my mahogany L2000.
I always wanted a Travis Bean bass, but AFAIK? There are no lefties; but I did see a lefty TB guitar for sale on eBay once, many years ago. That's why I own a '78 Kramer 450B Lumie, instead... Sadly, all the spots a TB bass might fill in my herd - are very well filled. In fact, ALL the spots are filled, as of late May. So, my bass buying days are over...

Just a little over a year, definitely worth the wait! I spent the meantime churning through other basses / sowing the seeds of GAS lol glad to be on the other side of that tbhThis bass is killer, I bet it sounds killer! Looks killer at any rate. Dare I ask how long the delivery took for it?
