NBD!! '64 AVRI Jazz Daphne Blue

Just got this sweet bass!! I'm very happy. I've always loved the Daphne blue vintage color. I took off the covers and swapped the white pick guard with a tort one. Plays and sounds wonderful!!

Doesnt seem to be any sort of FSR, theyre everywhere now and in many countries.

Its such a fantastic looking bass in that finish.

Stunning, congrats, congrats, congrats! What a beautiful finish! I preferred the way it looked initially (white pickguard, covers on), but it's your bass. Enjoy it and never sell it!

Sweetwater's listing calls is a Limited Edition. Honestly? This thread is the first mention I've seen of this color being re-introduced.

I cam dangerously close to getting this bass in the Lake Placid Blue. This is one of the best Jazz basses Fender has put out in a while IMHO

Once I actually got the bass I did reconsider leaving the white pick guard on. It looks great that way too. I just like the tort with Daphne little better.

I never heard the Daphne blue was a limited run, but after buying the bass I did see two other stores online that were selling them say that Daphne blue was only available this year and was linited to 41 basses. Who knows??? That's an odd number to produce.

I see your in the Chicago area. Chicago music exchange had one in Daphne about two weeks ago. They also had one in lake placid blue which looked wonderful too.
