Not modded.. just set up this way I believe.. getting new strings and a going over now..Modded to not be string thru.
A good thing in my opinion. My G3 used to break strings over the saddles due to the angle the strings were pulled down to go thru the body. Love Rippers and Grabbers except for that feature.
Enjoy!
Ya, looking closer, l can see your bridge gives you the choice. Not modded.. just set up this way I believe.. getting new strings and a going over now..
Little scratch on the volume pot and loose input Jack appear to need some love but so far so good everywhere else..Nice! Is the neck still ok? And the electronics?
She got a string change and a cleaning today. I pulled a few screws out of the pick guard and lifted it just enough to see the finish is the same under the guard, not faded..Congrats on your "new" bass. May it serve you well.
I've never seen a Ripper in that finish and whatever it is looks beyond cool IMO.
Play it in good health and enjoy!
How do you like the rotary control?are you finding useful voices with it? Do you have. Favorite setting? She got a string change and a cleaning today. I pulled a few screws out of the pick guard and lifted it just enough to see the finish is the same under the guard, not faded..
I believe it to be original, as the checking on the headstock & same green fade on the back of the neck really show their age, patina & wear. Curious..![]()
