NBD. 75th Anniversary P Bass

I grabbed one of these yesterday. Super light and like the OP said... it sounds DIFFERENT. The Thunderbolt pickup is thick and grindy and the tone control makes subtle differences between settings. It had bigger poles like a Quater Pounder. I played it against the Shell Pink Player II that I grabbed a few months ago and it's definitely more sensitive and a bit punchier than that. The 75th Anniversary has an awesome feeling neck and I'm a sucker for anything that sparkles. I dig it!

Yessir In love with mine. Yes it’s more money but IMO I got more of a Bass, Anniversary Edition. The sparkle that is growing on me. I’m completely happy with it.

This video gives a decent demo of the tone, minus the inexplicable moaning that starts at a certain point.

Sounds great, and that’s very considerate of Bennett to remove his chainmail vest, whilst demoing the bass.

As an aside, It’s awesome that YouTube can auto-generate subtitles translating from Italian to Māori, Sanskrit, and Zulu, but is English too much to ask?

Congratulations to everyone who picked one up! I’ve joined the club too, although I gave mine a more vintage look with a different "outfit" and added a pickup cover to give it a more classic, traditional appearance:

I just sold a few unused basses and happened to venture into a Guitar Center over the weekend. I stumbled upon the silver sparkle P Bass and fell in love instantly. My band has been using instruments with sparkle finishes, so this was fortuitous. I put on a sparkly pickguard I had on another P Bass (which I got from Pickguard Heaven) to achieve this neat “two tone” effect:

I don't know if it's really relevant for you all, but when I received mine, the g-string tuner had a screw in the back missing, but worst of all it was something broken inside this tuner, and the rattle and tonekill on the g-string is horrible. I just decided to order myself 4 Hipshot USA ultralites, so it will balance even better too. Poor quality control though, even unamplified it would have take 5 secs of playing to notice a huge problem. Nut is cut too high and the pickup is mounted with different heights so the strings are very uneven sound, but those are fixable. Otherwise the neck was good and the Diamond Dust Sparkle-finish is very nice indeed. Weight was 3,95 kg.
