Well, my very orange Fender Player Jazz got here a day early!! Needless to say, I've pretty much written off work for the rest of the day (oh, the perks of working from home) and am starting the weekend a bit early. ;) I'm trying to remind myself it's been a couple years since I've played and I'll need to ease back into it... but so far I seem to have a whole lot more muscle memory than I expected and the bass plays like a dream(sicle)

Yep on both counts! I'm in a small apartment and can't justify anything bigger at the moment, so the Rumble 25 seemed like a good choice for now. It's better (so far) than the Peavey 126 I used to use for practice, anyway.
Well the bass is just gorgeous. Hope you have a long, happy life together. Can’t lie, it’s stoking the GAS a little!

I just got myself a Rumble 25. I’ve been practicing headphone-only, but treated myself to a little quarantine boredom-buster. I’ve been very happy with it so far!

Put it on a furniture dolly. It'll still sound GREAT to You. But... reverberate less. The neighbors won't hear/complain as much.

Love that color scheme

I was on a 10 year hiatus from last playing the bass, college, marriage, career got in the way. I honestly thought there was a learning curve ahead of me but other than growing callouses in the right places, I actually improved in the interim and without a bass in my hand. strangest thing. Songs I had great difficulty with previously became much easier to learn. I don't know if it's getting a fresh perspective, maturity, muscle strength, a better ear, focus or perhaps all of those things, but the learning process and playing comes so much easier.

The Rumble amps are great sounding, and a great deal. My son has a Rumble 30, and it's more than loud enough for small church and jazz band gigs, though it couldn't compete with anything but a quiet drummer. The line in and headphone out is great for practice too.

I've had a similar experience with time off from playing, sometimes it helps, which makes me suspect it's more about attitude. My chops degrade, but it's like I've been playing in my head or something. I'm in the middle of a long spell of not playing myself, waiting for that desire to come back.
Nice looking bass too...:D
