Really like ing this bass!

This is a Fender Mod Shop Jazz with an all rosewood neck. I modded it with Gotoh Res-O-Lite tuners and Aero Type 1 pups (which I fell in love with when I had them on a Lakland DJ that I should have never sold). Super punchy machine!

Yep, I travel a lot so I bit a souvenir from each country. This was Warsaw in 2018 I believe.

The body coloue works well with the neck. I’m almost seeing that neck as grape purple. (Though it’s not?) no wonder i thought “wine” before i even read what the colour is named

It was Merlot. In that film he's also quite rude about Cabernet Franc. Great little joke for wine enthusiasts: the Bordeaux he surreptitiously drinks in a burger bar at the end, Cheval Blanc, is mostly merlot and cabernet franc.

I have a Mod P with that etched rosewood neck, I love the neck.

May I ask how you like the tuners and were they a direct replacement? Mine has those insipid backwards tuners and they’re heavy so I have thought about solving dive and the dumb backwards thing with a mod.

Pretty much my dream Jazz right there, though I’m a sucker for bound and blocked necks over all. Gorgeous color, I have a Strat in a similar “midnight wine” color.
